Founders

Apostle J.L. & Becky Arnold

Apostle J.L. and Becky Arnold have been married 30 + years and have two amazing kids. Together they have been in ministry for 25 + years to include helping to establish two churches, a preschool and a College of Ministry in Georgia. They were called to Reno, Nevada from Augusta, Georgia in 2008 and together established a branch of Soaring High Ministries (SHM). Their heart for Northern Nevada is to remove the bondage of religion, break-down the barriers of poverty mindsets, chains of racism, and enhance individual potential regardless of socio-economic background. Proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom through the manifestation of God's Sons and Daughters as they walk out their assignment and fulfill their destiny. J.L. is a successful entrepreneur who enjoys imparting experience and wisdom to empower people to be more than what society labels, classifies, and limits them. Becky holds a BA in Accounting and an Associate Degree in Christian Counseling. She enjoys leading and empowering women. She is the Youth Director at SHM and is employed as an Accounting Manager for a local Aerospace Defense Corporation.

Pastors

Pastor Ricki & Leta Lounsbury

Pastor Ricki and Leta Lounsbury have been a part of the Reno community for 50+ years. Ricki has been a pastor for over 40 years serving in many capacities over that time. Most currently, Ricki and Leta have been serving in their gifts as primary Pastors over End of Life Celebration services in the community and at SHM.

Pastor

Pastor Peter Todt

Peter Todt, was Ordained at Soaring High Ministries as a Pastor/Shepherd in 2009. While he has grown up in an understanding of scripture and the word, it wasn't until a deep realization into Kingdom that there became a transformation to his thinking. He has lived across the US and a bit in South Africa. He loves hiking, camping, climbing, diving, snowboarding, hanging out with friends around an open fire. Most importantly doing all these things with those he trusts, loves, and calls family and friends. He is active in Kingdom Sound as a Bass player and stepping out of his comfort zone into singing. He strives for honor, integrity, and obedience. Working on his Kingdom Purpose as the Lord leads and guides him through the journey. His belief in truth and learning push him in his desire to be a warrior and humble in his leadership.

Prayer Ministry Leader

Teacher Marie Holt

Marie Holt, aka Mama Marie, has a passion as a Teacher, to lead others into an intimate relationship with Holy Spirit. She avails herself to serve the body by leading SHM's Intercessory Prayer Meetings and heading up our Prayer Ministry. She has been a servant of the Reno-Sparks and surrounding community for over 30 years. She has much to share in understanding the move of Holy Spirit and how to press in to the Holiness of our Creator, through the sacrifice of our Savior. You are invited to join us in gathering together to fulfill one of the Kingdom's most-important responsibilities - prayer! Let us all be set free in His Presence.

Worship Leaders

Kyle & Janae Arnold

Kyle and Janae Arnold lead the SHM Worship Team at Soaring High Ministries. Kyle has been a part of SHM for many years and a member of the worship team since 2011. He began to focus on his relationship with God and strengthening his walk in His Kingdom in 2016, receiving Jesus Christ as his savior. His trade is Accounting and he has recently earned his CPA, working for an Aerospace Defense Corporation in Reno. Kyle enjoys the technical side of Worship as it relates to audio & video. Janae's grandmother was the first person to take her to church when she was just a baby, and she continued throughout her childhood. After falling into the ways of the world, a friend invited her to church, where she found her home and spiritual family. She has been a part of Soaring High Ministries since 2015. Janae has been gifted with a powerful voice and passion to lead believers into the spiritual realm. Together, they lead the band Kingdom Sound and are proud to call Soaring High Ministries home.

Jail Ministry Leader

Evangelist Crystal Innis

Crystal Innis, aka Sister Crystal, leads our Jail Ministry every Friday evening. Please email soaringhighofficereno@gmail.com to learn more about this exciting Community Outreach Program setup through Washoe County Sheriff's Department.

Elder

Elder Jesse Arnold

Jesse (Jess) Arnold, aka Pop, is originally from Owensboro, Kentucky. Jess served in the United States Air Force from 1961 until retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant, First Sergeant in 1987. Jess was ordained as an Elder in 1997, and is a great source of words of wisdom, providing kind and gentle encouragement. He has been a vital part since the conception of SHM, and his many life experiences prove to be beneficial as he continues to help and support others.
